RWC 2011 basics for Wellington businesses

Wellington’s hospitality, hotel, tourism, retail and transport sectors will be vital ingredients in the success of Rugby World Cup 2011.

The forum will cover:

- an update on what’s happening in the Wellington region for RWC 2011 (Derek Fry, Wellington City Council, Director City Events & RWC 2011)

- a ticket sales update (Duncan Garvie, RWC 2011 Official Accommodation Bank & Travel Services)

- information on visitors – what to expect, how Wellington will provide the best host city experience, and how businesses can promote themselves (Sarah Meikle, General Manager Marketing, Positively Wellington Tourism)

- an open forum to discuss issues, questions and ideas.

Date: Monday 12 July

Time: 6–7.30pm

Venue: Ilott Theatre, Wellington Town Hall
