Wellington Business Welcomes Jetstar’s Additional Flights

The Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce has welcomed Jetstar’s announcement of additional flights between Wellington and Auckland and hopes further increases will be forthcoming.

“Improved transportation links are crucial to the growth of the Wellington economy, and every additional service is welcome,” said Chamber spokesman Charles Finny.

“We hope that Jetstar will continue to expand its flights in and out of Wellington to a wider range of domestic destinations. We also hope it will introduce trans-Tasman flights from Wellington.

“The additional flights announced today provide the potential for increased numbers of visitors to Wellington as well as increased choice for Wellingtonians to fly to Auckland.

“Jetstar has established itself as an important player in Wellington’s airline market and today’s announcement consolidates that position,” Mr Finny concluded.
