Aorangi Securities investors called to join together

For Immediate Release

This is an open letter to all other investors of Aorangi Securities Limited (ASL).

“Dear ASL Investor,

I am Tony Brazier, an investor in Aorangi Securities and principal of Brazier Property Investments Limited, MREINZ. I have been investing in products offered by Alan Hubbard’s companies for over 10 years.

I have retained Chen Palmer New Zealand Public Law Specialists to advise on the options and specific actions that we as investors have and can take to assist the Hubbard’s and to protect our investments. I am funding this work at my own personal expense because I am sick of feeling powerless and do not want to sit and wait to be told we may never see our investments again. I wanted to know whether I could be doing something positive to help prevent this.

I met with Chen Palmer yesterday and am convinced there are actions that we as investors can take to improve the situation.

I invite other ASL investors to get in touch with me so we can act collectively. I reiterate that I am funding Chen Palmer’s work on this matter, but there is more power if we act together in our shared interest.

Like you, I am a significant investor in ASL who is being harmed by the Government’s decision to place ASL and Allan and Margaret Hubbard under statutory management. Many of you are retired and rely on the interest payments from your investments in ASL to meet your living costs.

Prior to statutory management, to the best of my knowledge, ASL had not defaulted on any interest payments to investors. Under statutory management, ASL investors are currently receiving no interest payments and the First Statutory Managers’ Report (12 July 2010) stated that investors “should not expect any return of capital or interest in the short term.”

It is impossible to tell whether statutory management is assisting the company and our investments because we have been given virtually no meaningful information about the activities or findings of the statutory managers so far. This is simply not good enough.

You can contact me by:
• Email: tony@braziers.co.nz; or
• Post: P.O Box 36052 Christchurch

Regards Tony Brazier
