Mud House Wines Toast Emirates Team New Zealand Sponsorship with Launch of New 2010 Sauvignon Blanc

Mud House Wines has today announced the launch of its highly anticipated 2010 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, along with its continued sponsorship of Emirates Team New Zealand.

The new Mud House 2010 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc follows the hugely successful 2009 vintage which sold out, proving to be a standout for the award-winning New Zealand wine company.

Mud House Wine Group marketing manager Cathy Wansink says the company is delighted to continue its sponsorship of Emirates Team New Zealand which dates back to 2006.

“Mud House wines have been served to Emirates Team New Zealand VIP guests across the world, from the team’s hospitality suite in Valencia, to the Louis Vuitton regattas in Auckland and functions at the Emirates Team New Zealand base on Auckland’s Viaduct,” says Wansink.

“The Emirates Team New Zealand crew have tasted the 2010 Sauvignon Blanc and we are thrilled to announce it met with their approval!”

With its pale straw hue and lifted notes of guava, elderflower and fresh nettles, the new Mud House 2010 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc offers the decadent flavours of tropical fruits, matched with the crispness of citrus and green beans to give a long, balanced finish.

An iconic symbol of Kiwi pride, Emirates Team New Zealand is enjoying a successful run, winning the Louis Vuitton Trophy regatta at La Maddalena in June and currently leading the coveted Audi MedCup 2010 championship after three regattas.

The team is set to face another two MedCup regattas over the coming months; Cartagena, Spain from August 24-29th and Cagliari, Sardinia from September 20-26th. The crew will also take part in the Louis Vuitton Trophy regatta held in Dubai in November.

Emirates Team New Zealand has started building a VO70 yacht to compete in the 2011-2012 Volvo Ocean Race, a hugely challenging 38,000 nautical mile race around the world. The fleet will call into Auckland from March 8th to March 18th 2012.

As the Official Wine Supplier to Emirates Team New Zealand, Mud House wines will also boast a fresh design launching in October, with a sleek new label to match the exceptional quality and excellent value of its premium wine offerings.
