Jetstar means business for Wellington

Travellers using Wellington Airport now have more choice on the domestic network following Jetstar’s recent New Zealand expansion. The upsized business friendly schedule which started today gives passengers the option of low fare day trips to Christchurch and up to five daily returns to Auckland.

“Jetstar’s increased presence in the market is fantastic news for Wellington travellers giving them access to even more low fare tickets on our busiest domestic routes. Business travellers in particular will be pleased to have the option to fly Jetstar for a Christchurch business trip,” said Steven Fitzgerald, Wellington Airport CEO.

Jetstar Australia / New Zealand CEO David Hall says the introduction of an eighth A320 aircraft to Jetstar’s New Zealand-based fleet brings the low fare airline’s services to 116 weekly return flights. “Jetstar will deliver over 20 per cent of the flying in domestic New Zealand with this growth, and through these affordable and convenient new frequencies on key city pairs – including significantly enhanced services to the capital – will allow even more Kiwis to fly more often.”
