Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale Now Online

New Zealand Bloodstock's Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale is now online and, with 72 entries, it is very much a case of quality, not quantity, with the Sale offering some very attractive thoroughbreds.

With a mixture of breeding propositions, yearlings, unraced two-year-olds and breeding and racing prospects, the Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale offers a strong catalogue with a solid representation of leading New Zealand and Australian based sires. Among the offering include:

• Mares by Zabeel, More Than Ready, Star Way, Red Ransom, Centaine and mares served by leading sires including Alamosa, Darci Brahma, Keeper, Pentire and Thorn Park.

• Lot 24 from Westbury Stud, Irish Nassie (Nassipour), the dam of the Group 3 winner Keepin' the Dream (Keeper), she is a half-sister to the Group 1 winner Castletown (One Pound Sterling) and has been served by Red Giant.

• Lot 28 from Westbury Stud, Kinjinette (Kinjite), the dam of the international Hong Kong Group 1 winner Sight Winner (Faltaat). A daughter of the multiple Group winner Duanette's Girl (Balmerino), she has been served by Faltaat, making any offspring a full relation to the Group 1 winner.

• Lot 36 from Willowbank Stud, the very talented race filly and winner of the Group 2 Matamata Breeders Stakes in Naturo (Postponed). She is the dam of the stakes placed Orutan (Pins) and has been served by Sir Percy.

• Lot 54 from Blandford Lodge, the filly by Thorn Park from the Zabeel mare Queen of Keros, a sister to the Group 2 winner Six O'Clock News and a half-sister to the Group 3 winner Anatomy (Thunder Gulch), she is a daughter of the Group 1 winning mare Maurine (Harbour Prince).

• Lot 57 from Trelawney Stud, the filly by Iffraaj, a half-sister to the Group 2 winner La Rocket (Rock of Gibraltar), the stakes placed Macau Causeway (Giant's Causeway) and Voile Rouge (Encosta de Lago), she is out of the Group 1 Mackinnon Stakes winning mare La Bella Dama (Desert Sun).

• Lot 60 from Hallmark Stud, the Pins mare Classy Bawn from the Sadler's Wells mare Silver and Roses, a daughter of the prolific producer and Group 1 winner Blush with Pride (Blushing Groom), Classy Bawn is from the family of five Group 1 winners including the sire Thewayyouare (Kingmambo).

With progeny from other leading sires including Alamosa, Cape Cross, Commands, Don Eduardo, New Zealand's leading First Season Sire Perfectly Ready, Stravinsky and Tale of the Cat, the 72 thoroughbreds on offer represent a balanced and promising catalogue. The Sale will also be the final opportunity to pin-hook youngsters for Karaka 2012.
