The Superyacht Group Launches Magazine

PRESS RELEASE

The Superyacht Group Launches The Superyacht Owner Magazine

The Superyacht Group has launched an intelligent new title to add to its print division. The Superyacht Owner is a five times yearly publication designed to educate, inform and guide owners through ownership time whilst being a source of inspiration on the possibilities of ownership.

The Superyacht Owner is steered by managing editor Lauren Barker. All content is aimed at owners and will feature interviews and contributions from owners, revealing personal experiences and handing over valuable lessons learned. There will be profiles on yacht owners, question and answer interviews with owners, and reports of inspirational or unusual itineraries to the Arctic or remote exotic islands, all accompanied by amazing photography.

Practical topics will also be presented from how to generate revenue from chartering to features on how to save time and money on administration issues such as taxation and crew costs. The pilot edition is out now in advance of the full launch in January 2012. Get involved in the project or join the audience of The Superyacht Owner at www.thesuperyachtowner.com. The web portal will eventually fully complement the magazine with current, topical and opinion-based reporting. It will provide the market with a private access portal with core knowledge and insight into the world of superyacht ownership. A private and secure forum will also allow subscribers to share their views with other owners. It launches in tandem with the magazine next year.

Chairman of The Superyacht Group, Martin Redmayne, who created the magazine to address the problem of a lack of readily available and reliable sources of information and guidance for superyacht owners, said:

"We are hugely excited at delivering a print and digital portfolio that will provide a serious look at the issues that can affect the enjoyment of today's and tomorrow's superyacht owner. The Superyacht Owner and www.thesuperyachtowner.com will allow experts in the market, and the primary investors in our industry, to communicate and exchange ideas and knowledge in a more open but private way, while previously this has been a one-on-one basis and behind closed doors."

Lauren Barker, editorial director, added:

"I'm thrilled about The Superyacht Owner. The superyacht market really doesn't have anything like this. For the first time owners can read about the secrets of maximising the value, in both both financial and emotional terms, of owning a superyacht."

The Superyacht Owner joins SuperyachtDesign and The Superyacht Report in The Superyacht Group's print portfolio of magazines. Between the three magazines, every aspect of the superyacht market will be covered from design, to construction, new builds and features on the latest new deliveries.

The Superyacht Group regularly provides superyacht data and information to the media. For any assistance on features or for research requests please contact Belinda Liversedge via the contact details below.

Notes to Editors

The Superyacht Group is a privately owned media company dedicated to every aspect of the superyacht market. Until September 2011, it operated under the name of The Yacht Report Group, but relaunched as The Superyacht Group to better reflect the focus of the company on the large yacht market. It has four diverse but harmonious divisions: print, digital, art and events,

The Superyacht Group print division

The print division is made up of three magazines:

- The Superyacht Report - industry staple for twenty years and re named earlier this year to reflect its consolidation on the large yacht market. Its core readership includes captains, owners, project managers and engineers. 77% percent of readers use the magazine for product or market research and 59% are directly involved in, or influence, negotiating contracts for new builds and refits.

- SuperyachtDesign fills a unique space within the large yacht industry, providing every aspect of the business with a dynamic and interactive platform. Its new soft-back magazine format means it is a natural fit in the trio as well as being more reader friendly.

- The Superyacht Owner - launching in January 2012 under the simple mission statement 'to strive to connect, inform and inspire the world's existing and potential superyacht owners.' The magazine is available now as a pilot edition.
