Auckland Airport welcomes CEVA Logistics
One of the
world's leading supply chain companies, CEVA Logistics,
moves to the rapidly growing Auckland Airport Business
District
Auckland Airport today announced that global logistics company CEVA Logistics has joined the recent surge in property development at New Zealand's biggest airport.
Auckland Airport General Manager Peter Alexander said, "We're thrilled to welcome CEVA to our thriving Auckland Airport Business District. More and more businesses are being attracted to the district, which offers security, flexibility, amenities and easy access to the Auckland region, to around New Zealand, and to the rest of the world."
A global freight and logistics player, CEVA's integrated global network has facilities in over 170 countries. Their new building, due to be completed by June 2012, will be located in the Landing precinct at the Auckland Airport Business District and will include a large warehouse, an office and an expansive canopy.
New Zealand Country Manager for CEVA, Grant Lowe said, "We're delighted to be moving into the Auckland Airport Business District. Benefits of the move for our business include a secure environment with flexible options for future expansion. Being on the door-step of the largest transport hub in the country will also enhance coordination of goods to meet our customers' expectations in terms of cost, speed, reliability and security. The benefits also keep flowing for our employees, who will work in a location that is rapidly growing in scale and amenities, and is easy to reach from all parts of Auckland."
"According to a recent report, around 54% of Auckland's total workforce is now within a 30 minute commute of Auckland Airport", said Mr Alexander, "It's that proximity that is attracting many businesses to locate here, not just proximity to the airports national and international connections, but also proximity to staff and other amenities such as hotels, food, beverage and recreational facilities."
