PlaceMakers kicks off sponsorship for New Zealand Super Rugby teams
Following a bumper year for rugby last year, PlaceMakers announced today its sponsorship of all five New Zealand teams competing in the 2012 Investec Super Rugby Competition that kicks off on Friday 24 February.
Under the four-year sponsorship PlaceMakers is the official and exclusive Community Partner of the Blues, Chiefs, Hurricanes, Crusaders and Highlanders.
The company also announced today its broadcast sponsorship of SKY’s telecast of the Investec Super Rugby Competition.
“We’re hugely excited about partnering with our New Zealand Super Rugby teams for what will be another explosive year for the sport,” said John Beveridge, Chief Executive, PlaceMakers.
“Last year was an unforgettable year for rugby, and as a proudly New Zealand company, we’re really happy to be supporting the national game. Rugby builds excitement, camaraderie and competition across the regions like no other sport, and we are looking forward to being part of that,” he said.
With 40 home games this season, Kiwi rugby fans can expect to see more of PlaceMakers at the New Zealand games. The sponsorship includes involvement with the players off the field too, with in-store visits and activities planned across the PlaceMakers store network.
“These sponsorships show our commitment to our customers and staff in regions across New Zealand, as well as to the sport,” said John Beveridge.
The New Zealand Super Rugby teams and broadcast sponsorships are exciting additions to the PlaceMakers sports and community-focussed sponsorship programme.
