An old favourite gets a companion – the MTA Gift Card

Media Release 01 March 2012
An old favourite gets a companion – the MTA Gift Card

Today the Motor Trade Association (MTA) launched the MTA Gift Card, a companion to its longstanding and well-known MTA Gift Voucher.

The first gift card was transacted at Webb Auto Services in Johnsonville, Wellington.

MTA Chief Executive Stephen Matthews said today that this was significant milestone in the automotive sector.

“We are thrilled to be launching this to consumers at a time when gift card use has become so popular and convenient. We are sure that it will complement our popular gift voucher.”

MTA Gift Vouchers, also commonly known to some as petrol vouchers, have been a firm favourite for 43 years, and they are still going strong. The MTA Gift Card offers consumers another option in four smart designs and can be loaded from $30 to $500.

“With most of the major petrol station brands taking part, along with repairers and vehicle dealers, the MTA Gift Card will be available in over 1,200 locations nationwide. We are sure the MTA Gift Card is going to be a big hit with New Zealanders,” says Matthews.

The gift card makes the perfect gift whether you are fuelling up or getting your vehicle repaired or serviced. They are also a great way of rewarding staff for meeting targets or being used as an incentive.

To find one of 1,200 MTA stockists around the country, visit www.mta.org.nz. Cards can also be ordered online from MTA’s website.
