AMP Financial Services to Relocate Wellington Premises

AMP Financial Services to Relocate Wellington Premises

Managing Director of AMP Financial Services New Zealand, Jack Regan, today announced the planned relocation of AMP’s Wellington premises from 80 The Terrace to 48 Willis Street in the Telecom Central building.

Mr. Regan said, “The new premises are in a unique location and incorporate the latest international environmental and sustainable design features, including a 5 star green rating for design, a one hundred per cent seismic rating and will have a contemporary new ‘activity-based’ fit out.”

AMP is committed to maintaining its significant presence in Wellington following its merger with AXA in March 2011.

“As we focus on the future of the new AMP this is a key milestone in what has been a very successful integration of the two businesses.

“The nature of the activity-based fit out will allow us to adopt an even more flexible and collaborative working structure, and further enable the agility required to compete in a high change environment within an industry undergoing transformational change in the New Zealand market,” Mr. Regan said.

The relocation from current premises will commence in December 2012.

On behalf of the landlord, The Wellington Company, Ian Cassel said, “We're delighted to have secured such an important tenant to Wellington for the long term.

“It is wonderful to see Willis Street once again establishing its position as the heart of Wellington. We're encouraged that tenants such as AMP and Telecom share our vision for the city and its clear ability to provide the very best office environment in this part of the world.”
