Take Note Dinsdale scoops up two big awards

Local books and stationery store, Take Note Dinsdale, has been awarded the title of best in the country, taking out the honour of the Take Note Store of the Year, as well as the award for best sales at the annual Paper Plus Group Awards.

The announcement was made at an exclusive gala dinner held at The Pullman Hotel in Auckland last night, where more than 400 store owners, suppliers and publishers celebrated the store’s success.

Take Note Dinsdale was presented the prestigious awards, beating out 44 other stores nationwide thanks to their superior levels of sales, presentation and compliance, community involvement and support.

Take Note Dinsdale owners, Armajit and Gurpreet Minhas, were thrilled with their two wins and say that it couldn’t have been done without their passionate, dedicated staff and loyal customer base.

“We are so proud to have taken out these two titles, and it’s a tremendous acknowledgement to all our staff whose efforts have a direct impact on our store’s success in Dinsdale. We have placed particular focus on driving our business forward, especially throughout the tougher economic times,” says Armajit.

“We really do try and go the extra mile for our customers on a daily basis, and they have rewarded us with their continual loyalty. We firmly believe that our customers really appreciate the work we do, and achieving this award is wonderful recognition,” says Armajit.

Paper Plus’ Group Chief Executive, Rob Smith, says, “Take Note Dinsdale has surpassed expectations on all accounts. They are relentless in their in-store efforts, as well as in the wider community. The competition was extremely tough this year, with all stores maintaining a high standard of service, sales and presentation, but it was Dinsdale that had the edge. It gives me great pleasure to award Take Note Dinsdale with both the Store of the Year and best sales titles,” says Smith.
