Kopparberg cider gears up for summer

Kopparberg cider gears up for summer with a few of the locals

Cider brand collaborates with Aroha Harawira and Sarah & Otis Frizzell

At Kopparberg we like nothing more than to collaborate with like-minded people.

So in the spirit of collaboration, we have teed up with street food impresarios Sarah and Otis Frizzell and Auckland based DJ Aroha Harawira to hang out, sip ice cold cider and let the good times roll.

As ambassadors of the brand, the trio has joined forces in union with Kopparberg to create the perfect backdrop to summer with a series of signature events.

A talented duo, Sarah and Otis have used their creative flair and passion for food to build up their successful Lucky Taco business on Ponsonby Road. They are always full of energy and like to experiment with new and interesting flavours which is why they are a perfect fit for Kopparberg.

Speaking about the cider from her taco truck HQ Sarah says, “As a lover of cider, a crisp ice-cold Kopparberg definitely hits the spot. Not only do I enjoy drinking one after a long, hot day in the kitchen, but I love experimenting with it as in ingredient in cooking too.”

One of Sarah’s favourite flavours is the Kopparberg Naked Apple available from liquor stores throughout New Zealand.

Street food is just one piece of the giant jigsaw puzzle that is Otis’ creative talents.

Born into artistic royalty, he’s been creating works of art since he can remember. DJ, TV presenter, tattoo artist and rapper – his multiple artistic endeavours quite frankly, leave us thirsty.

Of the new collaboration Otis says, “Man cannot survive on beer alone…sometimes he needs an ice cold cider.”

The duo is also partial to the Kopparberg Pear cider – the number one selling pear cider in the UK*.

Music maven Aroha Harawira joins the party with some musical inspiration for your summer socials. Between late night DJ-ing and presenting the Breakfast show on George FM, we’re not sure when Aroha finds the time to sleep.

“The first time I drank Kopparberg cider I was lying on the grass on a beautiful summer’s day in London with good friends. The Elderflower & Lime flavour always transports me back to that day, so it’s only natural that I’m stoked to be able to share it with my Kiwi friends.

“We do things a little differently here in Aotearoa; with our food, with our music and how we like to play. Kopparberg cider paired with our great New Zealand summers is a perfect match.”

Kopparberg is available in 500ml glass bottles in leading supermarkets, independent bottle stores and traditional liquor stores nationwide retailing for $5.99 a bottle. It can also be found in leading bars throughout New Zealand.

The two most popular variants - Kopparberg Strawberry & Lime and Kopparberg Elderflower & Lime – have recently been launched on tap while bottles of the former are very popular among supermarket shoppers.

Kopparberg is imported and distributed in New Zealand by Treasury Wine Estates (TWE).
