Enable Business named Accounting Partner of the Year at 2014 Xero Awards

AUCKLAND, 1 MAY, 2015 – High performing small business accountants and bookkeepers from across New Zealand were honoured at the New Zealand 2014 Xero Awards tonight.

Enable Business scooped Accounting Partner of the Year, with Spotlight Reporting named as Add-on Partner of Year, and the MVP Award going to Adam Davy of BDO Wellington.

Victoria Crone, Managing Director, Xero New Zealand says, “The New Zealand Xero Awards are an opportunity for us to acknowledge the achievements of our valued partners, and showcase the work they are doing to enable small business success in New Zealand.”

“The partners recognised are outstanding examples of businesses that are using Xero services to help their clients achieve great things. They also play a vital role in assisting us to shape our services and ensuring we provide innovative solutions that help small New Zealand businesses prosper.”

Xero received more than 75 nominations across the 10 categories in this year’s awards - a record, with each category except the MVP Award narrowed down to three finalists. The MVP Award is selected by Xero, and recognises an exceptional individual who has proved an invaluable partner to the Xero team during the past year.

“A very well-deserved congratulations to all our winners,” says Crone.

“We recently took a deep dive into the relationship that small businesses have with their accountants. What was clear, was that Xero enhances this relationship.”

“Xero customers are more likely to have a financial and business plan, a clear purpose or mission, than non-Xero customers. We also know that they are more confident managing the business and reward innovative thinking in the business.

“But mostly importantly, Xero customers (51%) are more likely to trust their accountants than non Xero customers (27%). So, this says a lot about our partners, and those we are celebrating the achievements of tonight,” Crone says.
