Nakedbus.com Acquisition Completed

Nakedbus.com Acquisition Completed

ManaBus.com is proud to announce the deal is now officially complete. The acquisition was first announced on 7th of May by Sir Brian Souter of Souter Holdings Limited. The transaction was completed on the 21st May. “This is an exciting development for ManaBus.com. It gives us the opportunity to extend our services across New Zealand and expand both brands’ value for money fares to many more people”, Sir Brian said. Both businesses will continue to operate under their respective brands but integration of timetables can be expected in the next few months.

The transaction includes all of the Naked brands including Nakedsleep, and Nakedpassport, which will continue to operate as well as Nakedbus.com’s bespoke booking engine which powers all of the products.

“Nakedbus.com brings eight and a half years of experience in the NZ City to city coach industry. Over this time, Nakedbus.com has established strong relationships with companies up and down the country. Nakedbus.com has an extensive and elaborate bus network with routes covering the entire country, this knowledge and network will be valuable to the new team” says ManaBus.com CEO, Sheryll Otway.

The managing director role will be filled by Nakedbus.com founder Hamish Nuttall “Nakedbus.com pioneered low cost travel in New Zealand, with fares from $1. It has built up a loyal customer base, carrying 680,000 customers last year. I look forward to providing innovative, affordable transport for New Zealanders using both Nakedbus.com and ManaBus.com”.

“Customers can expect to see a new integrated timetable playing to both companies’ strengths. Together we’ll be able to produce a reliable and attractive timetable that will get people to their destinations quickly and comfortably. With new buses on the way, customers can expect innovative services with less impact on the environment. New double-deckers will help us drive costs so that we can provide even lower prices across the network. Together we hope to transport more than one million passengers a year and continue to grow the figure as we move into the future”.
