ARANZ Medical a Champion Canterbury finalist

CHRISTCHURCH, NZ., 30 July, 2015 – ARANZ Medical has been named a Champion Producer/ Manufacturer category finalist in the 2015 Champion Canterbury Business Awards.

ARANZ Medical (www.aranzmedical.com) designs and manufacturers 3D scanning and information systems that transform clinical processes in skin assessment to improve health outcomes in wound care and orthotics/ prosthetics.

ARANZ Medical CEO Dr Bruce Davey says, “It’s been a very busy and successful year for the team so this is a wonderful acknowledgement. We’re growing fast and shipping more product than ever before. We’re very proud to be a high value manufacturer with a global client base.”

ARANZ Medical’s innovations include Silhouette, an FDA-approved electronic wound assessment system, and FastSCAN II, a 3D scanning system for orthotics and prosthetics.

Dr Davey says while the company sells to over 30 countries, they are seeing particularly strong demand for their products in the US market, where they also have a sales and support office.

“The increased market demand for our technology is being driven by increases in diseases like diabetes, an ageing population, more accountable healthcare and the emerging telehealth trend. Health providers are searching globally for new innovations to improve health outcomes. As a result our clients now includes some of the largest health providers in the US,” he says.

Peter Townsend, Chief Executive of the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of Champion Canterbury Ltd said, “The record number of entries this year was very pleasing, but the consistently high quality of the entries is an even better indicator of how our business community is performing at present.”

Winners for this year’s Champion Canterbury Awards, which recognise and celebrate excellence, passion and success in Canterbury businesses, will be announced at an Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 16 September.
