The announcement last week of the inclusion of a fa'afafine tournament by Event Polynesia in its upcoming corporate class boxing in Auckland has received interest from as far as Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.
Princess Liz of Samoa, former Fa'afafine International champion, who lost to
Queen Latoya of American Samoa in her first title defense in May this year.
The
Auckland registered multimedia and events management company
that staged the successful BLACK & WHITE PRO-AM FIGHT in
Samoa which launched Monty Betham Junior's professional
boxing career in May will be staging The Last Man Standing &
The Last Fa'afafine Standing in Auckland on Tuesday 14th
August 2007.

"We are very delighted with the positive response from the Samoan and boxing community here in New Zealand," according to Managing Director Teleiai Su'a Edwin Puni.

to boost interest in boxing by involving the community, and
giving some of our talented fighters a chance in the ring
and not on the streets of South Auckland. We've even got a
