Record-breaking weekend for Vector Arena

Pop superstar Justin Timberlake is set to wow music lovers in Auckland this week as he brings his show-stopping world tour to Vector Arena.

And as well as setting fans’ pulses racing, the Prince of Pop’s shows will set some records for Auckland’s showcase entertainment venue.

The US star will be blazing through his hits on Friday, Saturday and Monday night, and is the first performer to play three shows at Vector Arena.

More than 33,500 tickets have been sold to date, making Justin Timberlake Vector Arena’s highest grossing act to date, with ticket sales totalling $4 million.

“This will be the first time fans in New Zealand will get to see Justin Timberlake perform here and the excitement has been building from the moment the shows were announced.

“The tour has received rave reviews in Australia and I think everyone is expecting something really special. It’s going to be a busy few days for everyone at Vector Arena, but we’re all looking forward to it,” says Guy Ngata, General Manager of Vector Arena.

Timberlake’s Auckland shows, which have been brought to New Zealand by The Frontier Touring Company, form part of his critically acclaimed Future Sex/Love Show World Tour which kicked off in January.

“Justin Timberlake is really a star at the peak of his career right now. To have him playing three shows in New Zealand is a real coup, and I think it would be fair to say it wouldn’t have happened had Vector Arena not been here.

“We hope everyone enjoys the shows and has a great time at Vector Arena,” says Mr Ngata.

A very limited number of tickets are still available for the Justin Timberlake shows from Ticketmaster.

Meanwhile, following hot on the heels of the Future Sex/Love Show tour, Vector Arena will be playing host to Lionel Richie on Wednesday, November 28.
