Tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary at Te Papa

A tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary will be in place on Level 2 of Te Papa from Wednesday 16 January.

The tribute will feature a bronze bust of Sir Edmund by British artist Ophelia Gordon Bell created in 1953 and a tribute book for visitor to convey their memories and condolences to the Hillary family.

Te Papa is also planning to screen the state funeral proceedings live on Tuesday 22 January.

ASB Polyfest: 50th Anniversary Of ASB Polyfest Starts Next Week

This year’s ASB Polyfest will see 291 groups performing across six stages at the festival. These groups come from 77 schools from across the Auckland region.
