Award winning Sacred Hill Helmsman Cabernet Merlot 2006

It’s turning out to be a great week for international endorsements for wines produced by Sacred Hill Wines. Neil Martin, the NZ critic for US based wine writer Robert Parker, Jr., The Wine Advocate, has recently published his scores with many of the Sacred Hill scoring in the nineties.

The results are:
Sacred Hill Deerstalkers Syrah 2007 – 91 points
Sacred Hill Riflemans Chardonnay 2007 – 93 points
Sacred Hill Helmsman Cabernet Merlot 2006 – 90 points
Sacred Hill Sauvage 2006 – 88 points

The Wine Advocate newsletter is produced by leading US wine critic Robert M. Parker, Jr. whose reviews have an international influence. Parker’s rating system employs a 50-100 point quality scale, anything above 90 points from Robert Parker is very highly regarded internationally

96-100
An extraordinary wine of profound and complex character displaying all the attributes expected of a classic wine of its variety. Wines of this caliber are worth a special effort to find, purchase, and consume.

90-95
An outstanding wine of exceptional complexity and character. In short, these are terrific wines.

Further good news for Sacred Hill is that their Brokenstone Merlot 2007 has made the final five top Merlots in Australasia for the Winestate Magazine Wine of the Year Competition.
