Tonight at 8.30pm on TV3
The Comedy Revolution starts tonight on TV3, with the very best local and international comedians uniting to launch a liberation of laughter on your screens. The Cadbury Crunchie Comedy Gala lets loose at 8.30pm with an explosion of high-impact international and local hilarity
The Cadbury Crunchie Comedy Gala unites over 20 acts on one stage. Hosting tonight’s show is TV3 favourite, the ever charismatic Rove McManus (Rove) and includes Jimeoin (Aus) whose last performance at the 2008 Cadbury Crunchie Comedy Gala brought the house down with mere flinches of his eyebrows, alongside the intricacies of washing machines.
Heath Franklin’s Chopper (Aus), also returns to New Zealand to see ‘how the f**king hell we are’, offering up his words of wisdom and informing us why we should ‘Make Dead History’. >From Cripple Creek, Colorado’s own Wilson Dixon returns with his laconic country songs and always deadpan delivery.
Some of New Zealand’s finest comedians will also come out and play, with TV3’s Jeremy Corbett, Ben Hurley and Dai Henwood taking a break from 7 Days to enlighten fellow Kiwis, whilst Ewen Gilmour helps citizens understand Auckland’s new super city.
Satellite Media are the proud producers of tonight’s show; directed by Mitchell Hawkes and produced by Arwen O’Connor the show is the most fun you can have in your living room.
