Don’t miss out: register online now for the Hutt City Tri

The Hutt City Triathlon is back on Sunday 7 November and online registrations are now open at www.huttcitytri.co.nz.

It’s a family friendly event open to ages 12 plus and features a 4km run/walk, 18km cycle and 300m swim The tri starts from Naenae Pool and there are individual and team options and a category for wheelchair competitors.

Last year the event attracted record numbers and council’s leisure active manager Marcus Sherwood is hoping to see even more people on the starting line this year.

“The Hutt City Tri can be as relaxed or as competitive as people want it to be which is why it’s so popular. It’s a great way to start thinking about shaping up for summer or to have a bit of fun with friends, family or workmates by entering as a team. It can also be great training for more seasoned competitors who want to kick start their training programme,” he says.

A limited number of places are available so register now to avoid missing out.

Individual entry cost $35 for adults and $20 for school students. Entry for a team of adults is $45 and $30 for a school team.

Local cycle-shop Avanti Plus Lower Hutt is again generously supporting the event and has donated an Avanti road bike as the major spot prize.
