Sunday’s round one fixture is the first of eight round-robin matches. The Firebirds play their first four away, against the Volts on Sunday, the Auckland Aces on 12 January, the Northern Knights on 16 January and the Canterbury Wizards on 19 January. The Firebirds then return home to host the Stags on Sunday 23 January, the Wizards on Thursday 27 January, the Knights on Sunday 30 January and the Aces on Wednesday 2 February in consecutive matches at the Basin Reserve.
