Fantasy Cancelled
Auckland, New Zealand – The New Zealand tour of Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy has been cancelled due to the earthquake that struck Christchurch on February 22 and the resulting aftermath. The damage in the area and the ongoing recovery efforts have made it necessary for Feld Entertainment, the producers of Disney On Ice, to re-route its international tour.
Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy was scheduled to appear in Christchurch from 27 – 29 May 2011 and in Auckland from 3 – 6 June 2011 as the New Zealand leg of the international tour that also includes Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.
Full refunds will be
given to all ticket holders for these cancelled
shows.
Online/Telephone – Customers who purchased
tickets online or via the telephone will have their credit
cards automatically refunded for the full purchase price of
their tickets. Customers should allow seven to ten days for
the refund to process
Outlet/Agency – Customers who
purchased their tickets at a Ticketek agency should take
their tickets to the place of purchase for a full refund.
“The people of New Zealand are part of the Disney On Ice family, and we are extremely disappointed that we won’t be able to visit them this year,” said Michael Daynes, Feld Entertainment Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they recover from this natural disaster, and we look forward to bringing the magic of Disney to New Zealand families next year.”
To assist in the rebuilding efforts in Christchurch, Feld Entertainment will make a donation to The Red Cross.
