Meridian Kids Bike Jam hits Palmerston North

Meridian Kids Bike Jam hits Palmerston North

The Meridian kid’s bike jam comes to the Palmerston North region again at the Victoria Esplanade on Sunday May 29.

With courses and a skills area, kids of all ages can participate in a fun-filled off road bike event and receive a medal, water bottle along with a whole load of goodies just for taking part.

This year the bike jam is celebrating its tenth birthday, and kids will get a special anniversary medal.

Although mainly for ages between five and 13, children of other ages can also take part.

“All kids need is attitude, energy, a two wheeler and a helmet,” says organizer Jill Ford.

The Meridian Kids' Bike Jams are the largest mountain bike series for young people in Australasia, with the events taking place in seven centres.

It will be run on the day by the Manawatu Mountain Bike Club.
