Mo-Bros bring hunting into the Auckland CBD

Mo-Bros bring hunting into the Auckland CBD

A tight group of friends are bringing Auckland the most comprehensive scavenger hunt the city has every seen, and they're doing it all for men's health.

Founder of The Great Auckland Mo-Hunt, Aaron McConchie, created the event four years ago as a positive happening in remembrance of his grandfather who passed away after a long battle with prostate cancer.

With a new venue and several new sponsors the 2011 Mo-Hunt will surpass anything that has come before it. Mark Hilditch, co-organiser of the Mo-Hunt commented, "It's great to be able to give back, I am like the majority of people out there with no direct relationship to suffers of prostate cancer or mental illness but that doesn't matter, what does matter is getting out there supporting each other, the cause [The Movember Foundation] and having a bloody good time doing it!".

All the team have full time jobs, so spare time tends to get full up with Mo-Hunt commitments. Mr McConchie added, "All our hard work is worth it when you see teams racing around town with massive smiles on their faces. If we can raise awareness about men's health issues while enjoying a good laugh then everyone wins".

The Great Auckland Mo-Hunt starts at midday Saturday 12 Movember, Registrations are open now at www.mohunt.co.nz and every entrant receives a custom printed T-shirt. Get in early as places are limited.
