2013 Miss Chinese New Zealand Born

Miss Chinese New Zealand 2013 came to a finish on September 14 at ‘The Trusts Arena’ in Henderson. Number 12 Erica He wowed the judges with her performances on the night and was crowned the winner. Erica He will represent New Zealand at Miss Chinese International pageant to be held in Hong Kong in 2014.

This is the eighth year that local Chinese in New Zealand celebrated the birth of a new Miss Chinese New Zealand with this year's pageant even more glamorous and popular. After a vibrant night of competition between the 12 finalists through rounds of outfit shows and quizzes, pageant number 12 from Xinjiang China Erica He won the title of 2013 Miss Chinese New Zealand.

As the global Chinese women pageant, Miss Chinese New Zealand's campaign has become the most watched event worldwide within the Chinese beauty pageant functions. The competition aims to close the global Chinese distance, establish a new generation of Chinese beauty standards, showing beauty, vigor, courage, wisdom, personality and love of the new image of Chinese women. Erica He being the new born Miss Chinese will represent New Zealand and will embark on a new journey, to participate in Miss Chinese International competitions.

Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) in Hong Kong started its first Miss Chinese International Pageant in 1988, and is now a prestigious and anticipated event that takes place all over the world every year. As the strategic partner of TVB in New Zealand; World TV Limited has hosted the annual Miss Chinese New Zealand Pageant again this year.

By tradition, TVB television stars are invited as the guest performers and this year, Myolie Wu and Edwin Siu witnessed the birth of 2013 Miss Chinese New Zealand. The night’s event was hosted by famous TVB host Anderson Junior whose humorous and relaxed MC style brought out the contestants’ potentials.
