Brooklyn, NY (November 19, 2013) Wanderlust, the world’s largest and fastest growing yoga and music platform, is inviting yogis to roll out their mats across Australasia during its debut series of Wanderlust in the City dates, Downunder. Taking place in March at iconic parks, the three gratis daylong events will feature an unparalleled mix of immersive yoga sessions, cutting-edge musical performances, organic eats and unique outdoor activities in the heat of the late antipodean summer. Wanderlust in the City will offer locals a taste of its celebrated multi-day festivals.
Wanderlust In The City line-ups will welcome renowned yoga teachers, lifestyle gurus and leaders of green living, along with a broad range of top DJs, musicians and performing artists. Local musical superstars including Ladi6, The Bamboos, Goodwill (Ministry of Sound), Tahir Faridi, Sufi Qawwali Ensemble, DJ Jumps, Aroha and Jed&Hera will take stage and rock the crowd. Attendees will downdog with international yoga instructors like Eoin Finn, Duncan Peak, Amy Ippoliti, Cameron Shayne and Tiffany Cruikshank, Claudine & Honza Lafond, Future Sound of Yoga and Agoga. Also a roster of other activities like hooping, acro yoga, anti-gravity yoga and special lectures will be held with leaders including Dr. Libby, Krista Jane, Swami Govindananda and many more.
“Over the past several years we have focused on expanding Wanderlust’s footprint not only in the US, but internationally with events spanning the globe from Canada to Chile. Launching a series of one-day events for the increasingly popular yoga community in Australia and New Zealand was the next natural fit,” said Jeff Krasno, Wanderlust co-founder.
“Melbourne, Auckland and Sydney will offer the perfect destination to share our mindful values as the world’s leading yoga teachers, musical artists, winemakers and the local community gather for an unparalleled experience.”
Wanderlust in the City will offer several elements that are free to the general public including an organic food co-op and craft market, musical performances and a number of first-class yoga sessions held at the Mainstage. Those looking for a full yoga experience without any hassle can upgrade to a ‘Secure Your Spot’ option where they will be granted reserved mat space for an average of just $15. For the true VIP treatment a ‘Premium Ticket’ package will also be offered inclusive of yoga intensives, specialty classes and lectures starting at $90.
Of course, after a hard
day’s work on the mat Wanderlust will host a,
‘Winederlust’ with organic wine, craft beer & farm to
table food offerings to refresh the palate and invigorate
the spirit against the backdrop of a brewing dance
party.
