BW Summer Festival world class acts: Flume & Peking Duk
BW Summer Festival announce world class
acts
Flume & Peking Duk
BW Summer Festival has given their fans something to look forward to with the announcement of top international acts Flume and Peking Duk in the first of two line-up releases. The electronic music heavyweights join other headliners Shapeshifter and David Dallas in the festival’s biggest ever line up.
Over the past two years Harley Streten, AKA ‘Flume’ has made himself known around the world with his self-titled, self-produced album that reached the top of both the iTunes chart and Aria Albums chart. Award winning songs ‘Holdin On’ and ‘Sleepless’ have seen Flume invited to some of the biggest music festivals in the world, while his recent remix of Lorde’s ‘Tennis Court’ has propelled him onto the United States music charts.
No stranger to New Zealand, the Sydney born music producer first played at R&V in 2012 to a packed out Cellar Stage. At that time Flume was still a relative up and comer on the electronic music scene but has since become one of the biggest music producers in the world and the most requested act by BW Summer Festival fans.
“There was a loud voice coming from our ‘BW’ fans to secure Flume. It is a 2014 New Zealand exclusive performance. We know it will be a show to remember and on top of the rest of the acts we have lined up for the week, Gisborne will be pumping this New Year’s holiday,” says Festival Co-Director Toby Burrows.
A total of 15,000 people are expected to roll into Gisborne on the 27th and 28th of December for the BW Summer Festival making up over half of the attendees of the 3 day festival R&V which kicks off on the 29th December. The camping is spread over 5 huge sites dotted along the golden sands of Gisborne’s iconic Midway Beach and features a range of summer time activities.
BW’s second line-up announcement will be during August.
