‘Sunday’ Selected for Byron Bay International Film Festival
Kiwi Romance ‘Sunday’ Selected for Byron Bay International Film Festival 2015
New Zealand
film ‘Sunday’ has been selected to screen in competition
at The Byron Bay International Film Festival 2015.
This will be the Australian Premiere for the film which
released in New Zealand cinemas on December 7, 2014.
The Byron Bay International Film Festival is
hosted from March 6 – March 15 and is Australia’s
largest regional film festival.
‘Sunday’ is
a story about a couple who are having a baby, but are no
longer together. After years of history and months of
separation Charlie (Dustin Clare McLeod’s Daughters,
Spartacus, ANZAC girls) and Eve (Camille Keenan - Packed To
The Rafters, Satisfaction, 30 Days of Night) have 24 hours
to find out whether they have a future together. Set in
Christchurch, New Zealand one year after the earthquakes
that devastated the city, ‘Sunday’ is a story like the
city, one of past devastation and a chance at
rebuilding.
‘Sunday’ Actor, Writer and
Producer Dustin Clare comments, "It's wonderful to be
bringing 'Sunday' to our Australian audience and at a
festival that is very close to my heart, as the Northern
Rivers region is where I grew up. We have had such a
positive response to 'Sunday' from our NZ audience and
critics, and we hope to challenge our Australian audience in
the same way with this love story.”
To
celebrate Valentine’s Day ‘Sunday’ is in 30+ NZ
cinemas for special screenings, offering 2 admits for the
price of 1 over the Valentine's Day weekend. See the website
for further details.
