Papakura Theatre Company presents : Jonathan Larson’s RENT this May

Papakura Theatre Company is delighted to bring the revolutionary rock musical to the Off Broadway Theatre in Papakura in May.

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical as well as the Pulitzer Prize, RENT has left a lasting legacy on the landscape of musical theatre and is beloved by millions of fans across the world.

Jonathan Larson’s cutting-edge pop rock musical is based on Puccini’s La Boheme, and has electrified a whole generation of theatre-goers.RENT tells the story of a group of friends in a 1990’s New York City ravaged by the AIDS epidemic, as they come to terms with their place in an increasingly uncertain world.

Running from 9 – 23 May, the small, intimate Off Broadway Theatre adds a different dimension to the rock opera bringing the audience into the lives of some of pop culture’s most iconic characters.

RENT is presented through special arrangement with Hal Leonard Australia Ltd.
