2degrees ‘Play the Bridge’ Bollywood style

2degrees ‘Play the Bridge’ Bollywood style

2degrees is playing the bridge to Bollywood this Saturday night after receiving huge numbers of requests for Bollywood to be played during its seven week ‘Play the Bridge’ campaign.

To celebrate, a Bollywood dance troupe will perform in Silo Park, accompanying music played via the ‘Play the Bridge’ microsite as well as live on Radio Tarana, 1386AM from7pm.

Head of Marketing Communications Trent Harnett said one in every 10 songs requested via the ‘Play the Bridge’ microsite was a Bollywood request so it was an easy genre to choose for the second to last Saturday night of ‘Play the Bridge’.

“Demand for Bollywood has been huge so this Saturday we thought we’d dedicate the first hour of Saturday’s playlist just to Bollywood music. Fans will be able to select songs as usual through our ‘Play the Bridge’ website and we’ll play the most popularly requested songs on the night.”

“We’ll also have dancers, and dance competitions and will be giving away great prizes including a Samsung Galaxy S6 to our best dancer on the day.”

2degrees ‘Play the Bridge’ fuses light, music and mobile to transform one of Auckland’s most recognisable landmarks into a giant LED music amplifier as part of the city’s 175th anniversary.

People can go online www.playthebridge.co.nz to select their favourite songs. The most popular tracks will be brought to life in a spectacular way. The performances can be watched via live stream on mobiles or laptops, or in person at several great vantage spots around the harbour.

The event is brought to you by 2degrees, with the support of Samsung, New Zealand Transport Agency and ATEED.
