After a two-year break from touring Daniel O’Donnell is ready to hit the road again with a revamped band and a new album. Daniel is very excited to bring this new show to New Zealand in March 2017.

Daniel has enjoyed tour and chart success in New Zealand for over two decades, which has earned him a large and loyal following all around the country.

Daniel’s incredible rise to the top began when he signed his first record contract in 1986 although major success didn’t come until 1987 with his second album “I Need You” which entered the UK Country Album charts. It set a precedent that has seen every album that followed entering these charts with most of them debuting at No 1.

Even more impressive has been Daniel’s performances in the national pop charts. He made his debut in 1988 with “From The Heart”, which although it only achieved a placing at No. 56, won the Country Album of The Year at the Music Week Awards. It began a pattern of chart entries and higher positions with each release leading to his greatest chart success in 2003 when “Daniel In Blue Jeans” reached No. 3. By 2010 Daniel had achieved 19 single and 26 album UK pop chart successes. He has now sold over 7 million albums and 3 million DVDs.

Daniel’s concert appearances since have taken him from London’s Royal Albert Hall and Dublin’s Point Depot to New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House, but he still continues to set himself fresh ambitions and new worlds to conquer.

Daniel, who was awarded an Honorary MBE in 2002 for services to the music industry, has an immense chart history with both record and video sales. To date he has had 20 UK chart albums and 14 UK Top 10 music videos

He may be an Irish superstar, but Daniel remains as excited and enthusiastic about his work and his fans as when he first launched his career in 1982. Daniel has never forgotten that it was the public who gave him his success, especially as he struggled long and hard to achieve his ambitions. Daniel not only gives three hours of stage time at every concert – but also the chance to meet and greet their hero when the show is over. Such sessions often last almost as long as the concert itself and needless to say the star still relishes these moments.
