Ravi Ravindra in New Zealand

Ravi Ravindra in New Zealand

An internationally respected scientist, philosopher and spiritual teacher will visit New Zealand in March.

Professor Ravi Ravindra from Canada has an international reputation for his ability to seamlessly integrate science and spirituality and discuss the commonality of the two apparently opposed fields of study. He is coming to New Zealand to facilitate a weekend seminar in Auckland and a ten day “school of theosophy” at the Tauhara Centre.

As well as teaching and lecturing internationally Ravi Ravindra is Professor and Chairman of Comparative Religion, Professor of International Development Studies, and Adjunct Professor of Physics at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Professor Ravindra brings Eastern and Western thought and ideas together. He is credited with the ability to paint pictures with words, creating a wonderful experience for those attending his presentations. His popular books express his deep spiritual understanding and knowledge of physics, yoga philosophy, the transformative process, daily life as spiritual practice and the meeting points and blending of science, mysticism and spirituality.

He has received a number of fellowships, awards, visiting professorships and research grants over many years in many countries and is the author of more than a hundred papers in Physics, Philosophy and Religion. His books include: “Theory of Seismic Head Waves”; “Whispers from the Other Shore: Spiritual Search East and West”; “The Yoga of the Christ” (republished as “Christ the Yogi”); “Krishnamurti: Two Birds on One Tree”; “Yoga and Consciousness”; and “Science and the Sacred.”

His New Zealand visit is sponsored by the Theosophical Society in New Zealand.
