Whitireia celebrates success

March will see over 470 students graduating from Whitireia New Zealand.

On Thursday 24 March a graduation ceremony will take place at Te Rauparaha Arena in Porirua. The ceremony at 1pm will see degree, diploma and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Business, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Health graduating from their programmes of study and having an opportunity to celebrate their success.

The ceremony is very much a community event that sees a number of families attend in support of students and friends. Guest speakers at this graduation ceremony will include Hone McGregor, Chief Executive, Polytechnic International New Zealand and Scott Giles, Graduand of the Bachelor of Applied Business Studies, Management.

Whitireia are proud of every student graduating. We seek to provide students with a solid foundation in which to build careers in the profession and industries they have chosen and to foster an interest in life-long learning said Don Campbell, Whitireia Chief Executive.

This ceremony is a highlight of our academic calendar said Mr Campbell. “Graduations are a celebration of the success of our students and it’s important that we recognise this and celebrate and honour the achievements of each and every one of them”.

Students will be graduating in academic dress. They will parade in their gowns starting at the Whitireia Porirua Campus and making their way down to Te Rauparaha Arena.
