Stop the Job Cuts at Manukau Institute of Technolgoy

Stop the Job Cuts at Manukau Institute of Technolgoy

The chief executive at Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) wants to cut the equivalent of 50 full time jobs from the faculties of engineering and trades, and education and social sciences.

Businesses and employers in South Auckland rely on MIT to provide job skills and education to local young people. MIT cannot do that effectively without such a large group of its loyal, skilled and respected staff.
We have just launched a petition calling on MIT’s chief executive, Dr Peter Brothers, to reconsider his plans to restructure and make these staff redundant.
Can you add your voice to local community voices calling for Dr Brothers to stop these cuts? Students in the local community need MIT to provide them with opportunities and skills.

Visit teu.ac.nz/manukau-job-cuts to see and sign the petition
