PANUI FROM TE KOHANGA REO NATIONAL TRUST BOARD – CEO APPOINTMENT
Te Kohanga Reo National Trust Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Kararaina Cribb as the new Chief Executive Officer.
Kararaina is married and together with her husband John, they have a blended family of six children and many mokopuna. She has Ngati Porou, Ngati Kauwhata and Nga Puhi whakapapa.
Mrs. Cribb is currently a senior manager at the Ministry of Education.
Kararaina has worked extensively across education portfolios for many years; including eight years in Kohanga Reo at both district and head office level. She says, “I have participated in, contributed to, lived and avidly supported Te Kohanga Reo movement for at least the last 30 years, as a young mother, employee and advocate for the kaupapa.”
She believes that her wide exposure to education, upbringing in te ao Maori and the important role of her whanau; have been the cornerstones of her career pathway.
Mrs. Cribb is expected to take up her new role early in July.
Te Kohanga Reo National Trust Board is looking forward to working with Kararaina.
