New CEO Appointed

RE: Media Statement - New CEO Appointed

Central Kids Kindergartens Trustees are pleased to announce they have appointed Philip Grady as its new Chief Executive Officer | Kaihautū Pūtahi Kura Pūhou.

Phil is following in the footsteps of our long serving CEO Jan Ballantyne, an inspirational leader with a strong commitment to children’s early education and our organisation. Jan is retiring at the end of October after 20 years at the helm. On behalf of the Board I thank Jan Ballantyne for her dedication working for this organisation to ensure we are a leading service in providing quality care and education for the approximately 3000 young children who attend across our centres each year.

“I am proud of the results we as a team have achieved over the years I have been the CEO for Central Kids. It is the right time for me to make this change and spend time with family and on my own pursuits. The Board’s rigorous appointments process in appointing Phil Grady, who has the qualities required to take the organisation through the changes and challenges ahead in the education sector, is to be commended” says Jan Ballantyne.

Phil has a proven track record of success as CEO of Odyssey. He has grown that organisation significantly over the past few years and is highly respected for his strategic approach, his ability to develop collaborative relationships and build strong teams, and his record of achieving positive results. Phil brings a mix of business, people, organisational acumen, and has excellent judgement. He demonstrates the values of personal integrity, honesty and trustworthiness.

Phil will take up his role as CEO in November and we are confident that Central Kids Kindergartens is very well placed to thrive under Phil's leadership.
