Fashion’s ‘a-Team’
Unite Again for Glassons BCRT Campaign
They’re arguably the biggest names in New Zealand fashion. And they’ve come together to support Glasson’s 2006 Breast Cancer Research Trust T-shirt Campaign.
Five of the six return from last year’s successful promotion – Karen Walker, Kate Sylvester, Zambesi, Huffer and Trelise Cooper – and this year they’re joined by NOM*D to create a stellar six.
Together they’ll be lending their considerable talents to the creation of the 2006 T-Shirt designs, which go on sale nationwide through Glassons stores on 1st February 2006.
Each T-Shirt will be sold for just $29.95 – with Glassons donating $10 from every sale to The Breast Cancer Research Trust (BCRT).
“This line up of talent truly is fashion’s A-Team and we’re delighted to be working again with the nation’s leading names – and to welcome NOM*D on board,” says Glassons Group Managing Director Cliff Kinraid. “This annual campaign really is a unique opportunity to buy a garment from one of New Zealand’s leading designers and at the same time contribute to such a very worthy cause.”
The Glassons BCRT T-Shirt campaign is now in its fourth year and last year raised an impressive $760,000 bringing the total funds raised to date to $1.6m. Last year’s funds enabled BCRT to consider world-class research projects to augment current research being done by Dr. Nicole McCarthy, Senior Fellow of the BCRT and University of Auckland School of Medicine.
New Zealand has one of the world’s highest rates of breast cancer with the disease affecting one in every ten women and claiming more than 600 lives every year.
