NZX.co.nz Drops The Ball On Telecom's Big Day

This morning on the very day a large number of Kiwi mums and dads are most likely to want to log on to the internet to check how their investment in Telecom is faring – they couldn't.

Even now as 1pm approaches… http://www.nzx.com/ remains extremely sluggish. On the face of what one can see online it appears that when the New Zealand Stockmarket has a big day its website can't cope.

Scoop's downtown Wellington office sits on the same network as the stock exchange. But after several minutes wait this morning the following eventually appeared when an attempt was made to view the performance of share's in New Zealand's largest company.

A subsequent attempt to view the page at 12.30pm resulted in a 5 minute wait before the page eventually appeared.

For those internet users who do not enjoy the benefits of being on the same network as nzx.org and who's browsers are quite possibly probably timing out before they get a connection the following is the view as of 12:30pm today.
