Zarqawi’s Death & Civil War in Iraq

Death of Abu Mussab- Al- Zarqawi on the evening of June 7 must have given a relief to the peace loving citizens of Iraq that is moving towards class struggle. Zarqawi, who was the chief leader of Iraq unit of Al- Qaeda & was giving action to terrorism in Iraq, was killed in an American air attack. Zarqawi was born in 1966 in village Zarqa of Jordan & his name was Ahmed Fazil Najal- Al- Khalili. He had an orthodox Islamic thinking & criminal mentality since his birth & in 1980 at the age of mere 14 he reached Afghanistan as a fundamentalist crusader. There he joined Taliban men & became active in the war against Russian army. When Soviet armies left Afghanistan, at that time Zarqawi, too left Afghanistan & came back to Jordan. After returning to Jordan he blew the bugle against ruling royal family of Jordan. He was accused of taking part in anti-government activities & in 1996 he was sentenced to imprisonment for 15 years. Some years back he was released when amnesty was granted in Jordan. After being released he came to Afghanistan & became a leader of Al- Qaeda network, a terrorist organization run by Osama- Bin- Laden.

It is told that when American armies & its allies were trying to uproot to cruel talibani men in Afghanistan, in those attacks Zarqawi was also wounded. Although wounded, he being a possessor of sharp criminal mentality left Afghanistan & reached Iraq. There he made terrorist organizations, organized revolt groups & even organized suicide attackers. After American attack on Iraq, when armies of Saddam Hussain surrendered, then rebellions people like Zarqawi, encouraged caste based class struggle under the cover of American army interference. Zarqawi was the chief rebellious terrorist of Iraq who got the tourists kidnapped & to behead those tourists, to receive ransom & just for encouraging the class struggle began to kill Iraqi citizens. He was also accused of attacking many religious places & damaging them. It is not wrong to say that Zarqawi was a person who was some to those who are responsible for associating Islam with crusade, orthodoxy, and religiosity. Zarqawi was at the top of those religionists. In 2004, Zarqawi group joined Al- Qaeda & in December 2004, he was appointed as chief of Iraq organization by Osama Bin Laden. Whereas Zarqawi was responsible for killing of thousands of people in Iraq at the same time this cruel terrorist had been accused of so many terrorist attacks out of Iraq. He was also responsible for killing of the American diplomat in 2002 in Jordan’s capital Amman. He was also responsible of serial suicide blasts in three hotels in Amman in which about 60 persons died.

Undoubtedly, American army has achieved a great success as Zarqawi was killed yet there are allegations of breach of human rights in Iraq against the American army. This man was more harmful to the unity of Iraq than he was to the American army. Zarqawi wanted to put Iraq in the civil war by encouraging class distinction there. Although death of Zarqawi will not totally eliminate the rebellious activities there yet it is expected to lessen it. It can be a main factor for reducing the possibilities of civil war in Iraq.

Death of Zarqawi will have infused courage among the American ally armies & now their aim will be focused on the top leaders as Osama Bin Laden & Al Jawahiri. The peace loving people of the world may be from any country, religion or sect are curious to receive the news about the death or Osama Bin Laden or Jawahiri. In reality, under the pretext of promoting Islam & Quran or lifestyle of Prophet Mohammed, these people exploit the religious feelings of unemployed, illiterate & innocent Muslims. They create enmity against western world but they are themselves the most detrimental for the Islam. This faction that believes in the orthodox & regionalism of Islam takes those persons as right fellows whose though are exactly same that of as theirs. It means that he must be a crusader, a religionist, a fundamentalist & an orthodox. If it is not so then, it is their belief that, that person has no right to survive & according to God, he must be beheaded. On the one side these people of sick mentality, because of their actions, have made Islam, the slave of fundamentalism & are plotting to affront it & on the other side they are accusing the western countries of being anti-Muslim.

A few days back when some cartoons affronting Prophet Mohammed were published in a newspaper in Denmark, then all the peace loving people of all the religions of the world stood with the Mohammedans & expressed their anger. At that time too these terrorist organizations played a crucial role in changing these peaceful demonstrations into violent demonstrations & there was violence in many countries of the world. They desired that under the pretext of insult of Prophet Mohammed, the Muslim world will be so violent that the fire of violence will not be put out. But they couldn’t succeed in their motive. All the heads of governments of the western countries condemned that cartoonist & the editor of the newspaper begged pardon for that. The publication of that newspaper was also stopped at that time. But this network went on saying that the work of this newspaper was a plot prepared by western countries. A few days back, Laden in a tape which was telecasted from Al- Jazeera gave a call to the Muslims of the world & said to boycott the products of western countries because they have favoured the publication of cartoons of Prophet Mohammed in Denmark. These types of calls add fuel to the fire for putting the world in the culture struggle which is worse than the class struggle.

Muslim world must observe that the persons like Zarqawi, had done what for the goodness, prosperity & fame of the Islam & to what extent by their activities they have brought insult to the Islam. After the death of Zarqawi, the decreasing figures relating to the class struggle will witness the sign relief among the Iraqis. It is hoped that his death will lessen the class struggle there & the increasing possibilities of civil war will also diminish.
