Six more people including two children were confirmed dead at Gizo, raising the death toll to 12 after a Tsunami, said to be 10 metres high, crashed over the Western Solomons on Monday.
Solomon Islands prime minister, Manasseh Sogavare said: “This is a very trying time for our nation and I would urge leader at all levels in the affected areas to make it our utmost priority to ensure that our people receive the maximum comfort they need,” he said.
