The inquiry into police culture that was sparked by Louise Nicholas's allegations against Assistant Police Commissioner Clint Rickards three years ago was finally released to the public this morning.

The inquiry was conducted by Dame Margaret Bazley -who read out a prepared statement to the media this morning - but did not take questions from the media. The Prime Minister did however take questions from the media and thanked Louise Nicholas and the other women whose allegations initiated the Inquiry.

Later in the day Commissioner of Police Howard Broad also thanked Louise Nicholas for her bravery in coming forward but would not be drawn on the fate of Assistant Police Commissioner Clint Rickards who is currently stood down after being acquitted of the allegations levelled at him by Ms Nicholas.
