Dr Sean Sullivan from LanzaTech is developed a way to turn carbon monoxide, or dirty emissions, into clean fuel. I kid you not, it's not science fiction - the government recently put $12 million towards his research. He joins us at 12.25 to talk about future fuels.

1245 – Carol Perwick

As much as women might be tempted to loose weight when they become pregnant research released yesterday argues this is exactly the wrong time to shed a few kilos. Why? Because it seems that women who diet before pregnancy both gain more weight during their pregnancy and increase the risk of things like diabetes, c sections and large babies. Carol Perwick is a clinical dietitian at Christchurch Womens Hospital she joins us to talk through the findings and hopefully impart some basic, and sound advice.
