Wellington's new free CBD wifi was officially launched today in Midland Park.

Thanks to sponsorship, the mobile internet access is free-as-in-'free-beer'. And, according to the t-shirts (which were also being given away) free-as-in-'Freedom'.

Wellington Mayor Celia Wade-Brown was present as well as sponsors representatives Brian Phillips from CityLink and Nicky Ashton from KiwiBank.

The network "available in outdoor areas from the Stadium to the Embassy Cinema". Connect your device to the cbdfree network, open your browser and click on one of the sponsor's logos on the page that appears.
