Prime Minister John Key today met with the press to discuss the new line up of his post-election cabinet saying his intentions were to “promote and introduce new talent”.
He discussed the various roles that had been assigned to members of the cabinet, their portfolios and strengths as well as changed roles and positions for other members and nominations for members.
Key also discussed the National Party’s plans to focus on developing social housing and national security and intelligence.
Key talked about a range of issues including: the New Zealand Military, Iraq and Syria, the budget, unity over national security and legislation surrounding passport holders and crime.
