NZ First MPs Walk Out


New Zealand First MPs walked out of the House in protest today after their leader was ordered to leave the chamber by Speaker David Carter.

This happened after a series of Points of Order following Anne Tolley making a personal explanation to correct an answer last week. During the events NZ First Leader Winston Peters was asked to leave the chamber after re-litigating a ruling of the Speaker. NZ First MPs then left the chamber in protest.

Earlier When Parliament resumed at 2pm a large number of papers and select committee reports were presented.

The following papers were presented by Ministers:
