House Goes Into Urgency For GCSB Bill
The House has gone into Urgency to deal with a number of bills including one covering the legal powers of the Government Communications Security Bureau.
The Urgency motion was passed by 64 to 56 National, Maori Party, ACT and United Future in favour.

Brownlee said the following bills would be dealt with and
the progress the Government would seek to make:
Government Communications Security Bureau and Related Legislation Amendment Bill - First reading
Telecommunications (Interception Capability and Security) Bill First reading
Criminal Procedure Legislation Bill - Second reading and committee stage
Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims (Continuation and Reform) Amendment Bill - Second reading and committee stage
Land Transport Management Amendment Bill - Second reading and committee stage.
Trustee (Public
Trust) bill - Introduction and passage
Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Amendment
Bill– First reading
