Prisoners Compensation Ban To Be Debated

The House will return to the Budget debate after Question Time today,

There are four hours and 22 minutes left in the set piece debate on the budget or the second reading debate of the Appropriation (2013/14 Estimates) Bill as it is formally known.

It is likely the Government will adjourn the debate and turn to the third reading of the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims (Continuation and Reform) Amendment Bill and the interrupted first reading debate on the Employment Relations Amendment Bill .

The first bill seeks to make permanent the restrictions on the awarding of compensation to prisoners.
