Police And Crime Next Week’s Priority
Next week the Government will give priority to bills concerning the police and crime.
When the House resumed at 2pm Deputy Leader of the House Simon Bridges said when the House next sat on November 4, first readings will be given to the Policing (Cost Recovery) Amendment Bill and the Organised Crime and Anti-corruption Legislation Bill. Wednesday would be a Members’ Day.
A petition was presented requesting the Government to not take away workers’ rights to a tea break.
A number of annual reports and statements of intent were tabled including those from KiwiRail, Kordia and the Parliamentary Counsel Office.
The Auditor-General’s report, Challenges facing licensing trusts, was presented.
MPs began Question Time.
